Premieres: October 25, 8pm ET
Network: History
What’s It All About? Although it seems like zombies are a recent phenomenon that has grown out of comic books, movies and TV, there actually is a long history of zombie legends from the dawn of civilization to today, and this two-hour documentary explores that history.
The special details how Europe’s Black Plague became one of the most prolific periods for myths and legends about zombies, explores why Viking legends believed zombies were nearly indestructible except by decapitation or immolation; examines other zombie legends from around the world, including secret stories of China’s Terra Cotta Warriors and the voodoo rituals of Haiti; and shows how modern science added a whole new twist on zombies beginning with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Hi, David, we just checked again with History and received confirmation that the show will premiere Oct. 25 at 8pm.
Who is going to be featured in this Zombie Doc? I’ve heard Max Brooks, Jonathan Maberry and some forensic experts…is that right?
I heard novelist Jonathan Maberry will be one of the talking heads in this. Can’t friggin’ wait to see this!
Max Brooks and Jonathan Maberry appear on the show along with many other zombie authors, academics, military, government and medical professionals. Check out the facebook and IMDB page for more info. Be prepared!
This is going to be a landmark documentary.
-Jonathan Maberry
author of DEAD OF NIGHT and DUST & DECAY
Hi Andre, Let Neelie know it’s the History Channel. I’m looking forward to watching a literate show regarding zombies, as well as discovering some good books to read and collect. Thanks, Cammie
Hi, i feel that i saw you visited my site thus i came to “go back the prefer”.I am trying to find issues to improve my web site!I assume its adequate to make use of a few of your ideas!!
How about a documentary on “Superstitious Idiots, A Living History.”
Concluded with a brief segment on the History Channel’s staff, and how they only do shows on folklore and legends, and other unverified garbage that seems to appeal to idiots that don’t know history and believe everything they watch on the history channel because it’s got the word “history” in it so it’s assumed to be accurate and true.
You people are retarded. I watched this stupif show for about 10 minutes and had to google it to see why History would waste money on such garbage. Then I find you guys who actually think there will be a zombie apocolypse or that zombie’s even exist in any state. I was shocked to see people even wrote books about this crap. You people, the authors, and history should all get out of 5th grade, grow up and get a resl life.
where can i find a link to this episode online?
are there any websites i can go to to watch this?
great -!
