Who Is In It? Nate Berkus
What’s It All About? Oprah’s beloved style guy, Nate Berkus, gets his own eponymous daily talk show — and he’s bringing his unabashed love for kids, dogs and the massive fan base he acquired during his nine years with Ms. Winfrey with him. So if you’re expecting the usual daytime drivel, Berkus says, you’re in for a bracing surprise.
“The ideas and the topics that we are bringing up on the show have come from me going on listening tours around the country and asking women at home what they really need, what they look forward to each day when they’re watching TV in the daytime and what would make a difference in their day and maybe their year … and maybe their life,” he explains. “For me the idea of hosting my own show is not self-serving. The challenge is to create great programming on a daily basis that gives regular people a leg up.”
Berkus says that while design will play a large role in The Nate Berkus Show, it won’t be the only point of conversation. “It’s a multi-topic, multi-segment show where there’s going to be great, inspirational stories, great design tips, things that will save people time and money. The goal is to create a show around the idea of living well.”
And yes, he’ll welcome famous guests … with a Berkus twist.
“The way that The Nate Berkus Show is going to work with celebrities is different than what people have seen before,” he says. “People are multifaceted. They have tons of different interests; they have tons of things that make them who they are or that brought them to where they are — the sorts of universal things that make us all relatable to one another. We have some great ideas up our sleeves right now and people will have to tune in to see their favorite celebs in roles that are very unexpected.”

I am so upset to find out that the Nate Burkus Show is being canceled. I really enjoy Nate’s shows and while I know this comment will not change the minds of the network. I would like Nate to know, he will be missed and that I have been suffering from a really bad back for 3 plus years and find it difficult to get around, I am having surgery and my get well gift from one of my friends was to take me to NY and try and get tickets for the show, so being selfish I will miss that, which I was so looking forward to trying to get tickets. Anyhow, I wish you well Nate. Sincerely Sandie Mounce
