The Jay Leno Show

B

Network: NBC

Hosted By Jay Leno

What’s It All About? NBC was criticized for going the cheap route with this nightly comedy/talk show instead of a new scripted drama. But placing Leno in an hour full of dramas on the competing networks is a bold move that will likely pay off. Leno will benefit from familiarity, and he’s bringing many of his former Tonight Show features and segments with him.

Jay is also bringing aboard a group of comedy “correspondents” to help bring home the laugh. Comedians include D.L. Hughley, Mikey Day, Rachael Harris, Jim Norton, Dan Finnerty and the Dan Band, Ross Matthews, Liz Feldman, Brian Unger, Nick Thune, Owen Benjamin, Marina Franklin and Sebastian Maniscalco.

In the premiere episode, Jay is joined by Jerry Seinfeld, and musical guests Jay-Z featuring Rihanna and Kanye West. Jay also presents his popular “Headlines” segment.

On September 15, Tom Cruise helps Jay launch a new segment called “10 at 10,” when Leno makes 10pm (ET) house calls.

On September 16, Robin Williams joins Jay in the studio, and Miley Cyrus helps with the 10 at 10 segment. Additionally, Australian comedians Hamish and Andy introduce the phenomenon of Ghosting to America.

September 17 finds Halle Berry in the studio, with Bruce Hornsby and Eric Clapton dropping by for a musical performance.
