What’s It All About? Ashton Kutcher executive produces this project detailing what goes on behind the scenes in the world of high fashion. Or at least The CW’s version of it, anyway. A young Midwest farm boy is lured into the world of high-fashion modeling in New York City, where he meets a string of incredibly self-serving industry types — and one exceptional girl. It could all be a snare of delusion, or it could be the start of something beautiful. With appearances by high-profile talent like Zac Posen and Elle Macpherson, you can tell that The CW wants to make a big splash with this one. All the same, the heightened amount of girl/guy sexual tension in TBL’s version of the couture world strikes us as a bit fictitious, for some reason …
***UPDATE SEPTEMBER 26 — “TBL” has become the first new series to be canceled, after only two episodes. The CW will begin airing reruns of “Melrose Place” in its time slot starting September 30.
