What to Expect: Darkseid will be the main villain during the series’ 10th and final season. Expect return appearances from Brainiac, Supergirl and Hawkman. The CW has also said it has “left the door open” for Michael Rosenbaum to come back for a cameo as Lex Luthor.

What to Expect: Remember when Brian Austin Green was harmless David Silver of Beverly Hills, 90210? Well, fuhgedaboudit. After his brawny turn on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, he’ll appear here as sinister Metallo, powered by kryptonite. Speaking of remnants from Krypton, Callum Blue also joins the cast as General Zod, the villain only heard on this show previously (with the voice of Terence Stamp, who played the part in Christopher Reeve’s Superman movies).
