Who Is In It? Chris O'Donnell, Peter Cambor, Daniela Ruah, LL Cool J
Where We Left Off: Keelson had the dirt on Callen, including the 37 foster homes he’d lived in as a child as well as the existence of a sister. She turned out to have died, but when he visited her grave, a recently placed note suggested that a parent of theirs might still be alive. At the same time, Nate found a list of Callen’s orphanages and foster homes written in one hand, indicating that someone has been watching Callen all of this time.
What To Expect: More mystery surrounding Callen’s past … and more of LAPD liaison Marty Decks, as Eric Christian Olsen has, in the interim between seasons, been promoted to series regular. In the season premiere, “Human Traffic,” when one of their own disappears while undercover, the team must work alongside LAPD on a case involving human-trafficking, money laundering and drugs. Eric Christian Olsen reprises his role as LAPD Liaison Officer Marty Deeks.

What’s It All About? The Naval Criminal Investigative Service gets its first spinoff in this procedural set in the City of Angels. The focus here will be on the Office of Special Projects (OSP), made up of undercover agents who use the latest in high-tech surveillance to get the bad guys. The group was introduced in a two-parter at the end of last season’s NCIS. O’Donnell will do most of the field work, assuming different identities to infiltrate the criminal underworld, while LL Cool J is the tech expert feeding him vital information. Look for NCIS regular Rocky Carroll to show up in recurring guest spots.
