What’s It All About? Don’t let the name fool you. Ben Donovan (Perry) is no Mr. Sunshine, aside from the fact that he’s the man in charge of a sports arena called the Sunshine Center. The odd cast of characters around him — which includes Janney as his eccentric, bordering on unstable boss and Torrence as the son she barely seems to know — only exacerbate the midlife crisis set off by his 40th birthday. They do make for some funny moments, though, and give us hope that Perry has possibly found a post-Friends project that might last a while.
