What’s It All About? A plus-sized pair — Chicago cop Mike and fourth-grade teacher Molly — who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. This otherwise standard sitcom wins points for eschewing the usual fat-guy-with-a-hot-girl comedy formula. It’s refreshing to see heavier characters in prime time, especially when they’re played by actors as likable as Gardell (My Name Is Earl) and McCarthy (Gilmore Girls). While some of the dialogue in the pilot comes off like a standup comedy routine, the relationship between Mike and Molly is sweeter than the most decadent dessert cart. If that sounds like your thing, indulge away.
