Where We Left Off: Lux was officially adopted by Cate and Baze. Baze confronted his father about how his dad’s coldness toward him has affected Baze’s other relationships, especially that with Cate. Cate married Ryan, with Baze showing up a few seconds too late to stop the ceremony, watching helplessly as Cate and Ryan kissed at the altar.
What to Expect: Hard to tell. There were initially questions about whether the series would be back for another season, and the finale almost seemed geared to work as a series conclusion in anticipation of that. Could we see a love triangle between Cate, Ryan and Baze?
What’s It All About? Lux is an almost-16-year-old foster child seeking legal emancipation from the system that has let her down since birth. But when she tracks down her biological parents to obtain their signatures, she finds herself in the middle of two surprised — but not totally grown-up — parents, who have relationship problems of their own. Can this group somehow form a family? While it adheres to The CW’s “Girls rule!” rule, it leans a little to the sentimental and may not be sexy enough to cut it for post-Gossip Girl CW.
