Where We Left Off: Barney and Robin (Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders) kissed and tentatively declared their attraction; Ted (Josh Radnor) gave up architecture in favor of teaching.
What to Expect: Never mind how he met their mother; when will we meet her? A spokesman for the show says Ted definitely will be inching closer to connecting with the woman he is fated to marry. As for that other new couple, expect Emmy nominee Harris to mine comedy gold from Barney’s conflicted feelings over his deepening attraction to Robin versus wanting to hold on to his much ballyhooed (by him) reputation as a legen – wait for it! – dary ladies man.
Where We Left Off: Ted (Josh Radnor) bought a house in need of serious repair at the end of Season 5. Also, Marshall (Jason Segal) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) decided it's time to try and have a baby.
What To Expect: In the season premiere episode, "Big Days," Ted and Barney are arguing about who has "dibs" on a hot girl. But Ted realizes that she is there with Cindy (guest star Rachel Bilson), a girl he previously dated who is also the roommate of his future wife. Meanwhile, Robin is heartbroken over Don, and Marshall can't keep quiet about his desire to start a family. Joining the cast for a few episodes this season is Jennifer Morrison (House) as a new love interest for Ted.
