Hoarders

Airs: Mondays, 9pm

Network: A&E

Season 3 begins with back-to-back premieres on Labor Day.

In the series premiere, September 6 at 9PM ET/PT, we meet Adella whose estranged husband has asked his daughters to help their mother clean up the house just weeks before he dies.  Her years of hoarding have torn the family apart, costing her a previous house, her marriage, and relationships with her children. Now, despite years of conflict, her daughters feel they must honor their father by helping to save their mother’s home from being condemned by the city. Meanwhile, Teri’s husband is so fed up with her hoarding that he threatens a divorce. The couple’s two young children are living in a home so cluttered that the door doesn’t fully open, the kitchen is inaccessible, and neither has a proper bed. Conditions are so bad that the therapist feels legally compelled to call Child Protective Services soon after arriving at the home.

In the second episode, September 6 at 10PM ET/PT, tempers flare as Gordon and Gaye along with their two grown children are given 72 hours to vacate a house filled with decades of debris. City Code Enforcement has served the family with a condemnation notice if they don’t clean up and make repairs to a home that is crumbling around them, and Animal Control has removed their seven cats. In stark contrast, Sir Patrick lives in a treasure trove of a hoard that he refers to as ‘Camelot.’ Every inch of his home is filled with treasures — goblets, dolls, oriental inlay screens, fountains and artwork which have put him in debt to the point where his church has to pay his electric bills. Sir Patrick hopes to save off bankruptcy by auctioning off his prized possessions—but can he part ways with these items?

Season 2 of A&E's new reality hit begins with a fractured family affair. Fourteen years ago, Jason was removed from his mother Augustine’s home by Child Protective Services because of her hoarding. Now, Augustine’s hoarding has become so severe that she has lived without water, gas, heat or appliances for the last four years. Still filled with shame and resentment, Jason returns to assist his mom with a court-ordered cleanup to save her from serving jail time.

I have been around..and actually lived with hoarders for years..what blows me away is I am on the other side of the coin..a minimalist to the extreem..Only wanting just what I need, I try and not have any more or less than nessasary, including tools, dishes, clothes, etc. Coming back to Ca.I left everything behind ,including furniture from my two bedroom place and most everything from my electrical contracting company, the only thing I wished I could have taken were more of the rocks I used in my art that I had found in the desert. My 2004 toyota tacoma I filled only to the very edge of the bed with everything I would need. Since being back here in Long Beach Ca. most everything has been taken from me by these people that has so much. It started when my b/f? asked me to help clean his home after a heart attack and triple bypass surgery. This started a serious hate and I’m not kidding conspiriousy against me from the sister of b/f? and in her actually manipulating others to join in..Not only did she play my b/f? and I against each other but using drugs as power was able to even get street people homeless and those on fixed income to go against me by being there w/ whatever at the end of the month for these people many with mental issues..She has worked very hard, even to the point of being a witness against me for an assault that didn’t happen, thankfully the police believed that I didn’t hit this person with a hammer and multiple times with my fist or b/f’s sister that said she saw the whole thing..crazy …I thought this is nuts..But ..I believe what had happened was I violated her. I believe as far as shes concerned I raped her and for any one to have such hate against someone she feels like I am a threat to her life and that her fear is I will continue to hurt her.
I have since left my b/f?..All I was doing was trying to clean, he asked me to when he was in hospital..but I have a enemy for life that has made my life her personal project where ever I go she no longer wants me to just go away she wants and is violating me and my life..
I’m sure this sounds crazy..I have some proof and have been keeping a journal for in case I can’t protect myself and something happens to me. What can I do other than hope she gets tired of making my life miserable..She gets money from her mothers death and does not work. so has plenty of time and anger..but I have to work and live..rumors beat me back to Az..aboyut me..
any advice. I really am sorry, I now understand that I violated her by touching anything..She is or was a kind person I’m afraid I created a monster..any advice?
