What’s It All About? Encouraged by her friends and the sexual exploits of her male neighbor, fortysomething divorcée and real estate agent Jules Cobb (Cox) decides to dip into the market for younger men. While it’s nice to see old Friend Cox back on TV, this comedy is as clichéd as the term “cougar” itself. Plus, it preposterously asks us to pretend that its fit, attractive star would be undesirable to the opposite sex simply because of her age. Then again, that might be an easier task than pretending Cougar Town is actually funny.
What To Expect After Lisa Kudrow guest-starred in an episode in Season 1, producers have now gotten Jennifer Aniston to become the second former Friends cast member to guest-star on Cougar Town. Aniston will appear in the Season 2 premiere episode. Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence also hinted at bringing a former Scrubs cast member on as a guest star. In other casting news, Ryan Devlin returns as Smith, a lawyer and love interest to Laurie. It was also reported that Jeremy Sisto might play Ellie's ex-boyfriend.
