Then: After stealing the show from Cybill Shepherd for four seasons on the sitcom Cybill — and earning four Emmy nominations in the process — Baranski misfired with starring roles in Welcome to New York and Happy Family before turning in guest spots on Ugly Betty and The Big Bang Theory.
Now: Baranski’s back in a supporting role, but she’s not totally back in her comfort zone. After sticking to sitcoms for most of her TV career, Baranski’s doing a drama, joining Julianna Margulies, Chris Noth and Josh Charles in CBS’ politically charged The Good Wife.
