What’s It All About? Adapted from the blockbuster animated films, this series details the further adventures of Po, the martial arts panda with the huge enthusiasm and appetite. With his mentor, Shifu, and the Furious Five, Po protects the Valley of Peace from incoming dangers. The show’s producer, Peter Hastings, has a solid track record for witty animated series, including Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain, so there’s great hope for Kung Fu Panda: The Series.

What To Expect: Season 2 offers more adventures with Finn — a silly kid with an awesome hat — and Jake, a brassy dog with a big, kind heart, who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. Season 1 became the highest-rated new animated series for Cartoon Network this year to date with boys ages 2-11, and it received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Short-Form Animation Program.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!

What’s It All About? This new animated series puts together several Marvel Comics heroes — Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Ant-Man/Giant Man and Wasp — in a team to save the world when one hero is just not enough. To introduce the team’s core members, Disney XD will roll out five-and-a-half minute micro-episodes, focusing on the backstory, allies and nemeses of the heroes before the Avengers were formed. The micro-episodes will air during Avengers Week, Oct. 11-15, with four episodes stacked each night at 8:30pm ET/PT.

What’s It All About? Nick star Victoria Justice stars in her first TV movie. She plays Jordan Sands, a shy and unpopular teen who, through an accident, is transformed into a werewolf during a visit to Romania, where her family has inherited an ancient castle. Brooke Shields also stars as a stern Romanian housekeeper, the longtime proprietor of the castle and the only one privy to all of its peculiarities.

This CG-animated comedy series follows the intergalactic adventures of Sheen Guevera Estevez, the hyperactive kid from Nick’s hit TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius. Planet Sheen finds Sheen stranded in outer space after he accidentally “borrows” a rocket and crash lands on the planet Zeenu, a world of limited technology that is inhabited by not-too-bright creatures and ruled by an Emperor who becomes fascinated with Sheen.

What’s It All About? This animated comedy is from Butch Hartman (The Fairly OddParents). It centers around Dudley Puppy (voiced by iCarly’s Jerry Trainor), a gung-ho, dim-witted dog who finds himself accidentally thrust into the role of secret agent when he’s recruited by the super-secret, crime-fighting organization, T.U.F.F. (Turbo Undercover Fighting Force). He partners with Kitty Katswell, a feline superspy who is an amazing kung-fu and weapons expert. Naturally, they don’t get along, but together they protect their hometown of Petropolis and the rest of the world against the evil animal organization, D.O.O.M. (Diabolical Order of Mayhem).

Sym-Bionic Titan

What’s It All About? This new original animated series from acclaimed animation creator/director Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack) follows the lives of Ilana, Lance and Octus, three alien teens that crash-land on Earth while attempting to escape an evil General who has taken over their home planet, Galaluna. Ilana, princess of Galaluna, Lance, a rebellious but capable soldier, and Octus, a bio-cybernetic robot, must now blend into everyday life in Sherman, Illinois. Posing as high school students, Lance and Octus work to conceal Princess Ilana from General Modula and his hideous space mutants sent to harm the sole royal heir of Galaluna.

This motley trio makes a real effort to navigate high school life, all while saving the planet and themselves from an onslaught of inter-galactic attacks. When called into battle, Octus activates the sym-bionic defense program and Ilana, Lance and Octus come together to form the spectacular cyber-giant Sym-Bionic Titan.

What’s It All About? A new, 15-minute original animated comedy, Regular Show features best friends Mordecai (a six-foot-tall blue jay) and Rigby (a hyperactive raccoon). The two are groundskeepers at a park owned by Pops, a humanoid-looking lollipop who has spent his entire life there. The job is so deadly dull that the two friends will do anything they can to avoid it. This doesn’t go over well with their boss Benson (an anthropomorphic gumball machine) — but their efforts often result in insane escapades that delight Pops.

What’s It All About? Hannah Montana alum Mitchel Musso and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne actor Doc Shaw play teenagers Brady and Boomer, fraternal twins of different races. They discover they are descended from the royal family of the jungle island of Kinkow, and must go there to reign as kings. The Princess Diaries-esque plot is what Musso calls “very boyish,” adding, “They have us sword fighting with mummies and pirates and taking over castles and fighting evil mermaids.” A more action-packed and adventure-based sitcom than Hannah, Pair of Kings offers a change of pace for Musso that the actor appreciates. “We improv a lot of the show,” he says. “We love the creative control.”
