Where We Left Off: Karen (Natascha McElhone) got a job in New York, leaving Hank and Becca (Madeleine Martin) behind in California. Charlie moved in with Daisy (Carla Gallo) while working out a split with Marcy (Pamela Adlon).
What to Expect: Hank takes a job as a professor at a major California university, where he finds an adversary in the dean of students and a paramour in a sexy teacher’s assistant. Charlie ditches the adult entertainment industry for a conventional talent agency, only to find his sultry new boss wants to act out her own love scenes with her newest employee.
What To Expect Season 4 premieres Jan. 10 with 12 new episodes. This season, Hank will have to deal with the fall-out from his one-night-stand with then-underage pseudo step-daughter Mia (Madeline Zima) going public. Guest stars this season include Carla Gugino, who plays a high-powered lawyer; Zoë Kravitz, who plays Becca's new friend; Rob Lowe, playing an actor; Michael Ealy, playing Karen's new love interest; and Tommy Lee, playing a singer.
